Surrendering into Newness This Sunday we continued our December journey with a talk called “Surrendering into Newness.” We explored what it really means, in a Science of Mind way, to let an old “skin” fall away so something truer can emerge. I shared about turning 60 and looking back at the “rings” of my life, like the rings of a tree. Some seasons were lush and full, others tight and difficult, but every ring holds wisdom. The invitation now is not to drag old December patterns into this next ring – the over-doing, people-pleasing, and pretending – but to bless those chapters and choose differently. We also lit our Advent candles for Hope and Peace, remembering that peace isn’t when everything around us is calm; peace is knowing we are held even when life is messy. Your homework this week is simple: choose one old December story you’re ready to retire. Please write it down.
